oronoco rum is on sale at the abc store this month, so naturally, i bought some. (the number of bottles i purchased isn’t important. impressive, but not important.) to justify this splurge purchase — & to get drunk — i’m testing recipes & sharing them. i like my drinks tart so i wanted something sour to balance out the oronoco’s sweetness. but according to the milk in my fridge, the last time i bought groceries was over a month ago. the only edible thing i had besides tomatoes & chilies from my dad’s garden was a tomatillo. the end result: tomatillo daiquiris aren’t so bad.
